Spectrum Detector, Inc. selected as subcontractor by RadiaBeam Technologies of Marina Del Rey, California.

Don Dooley, President of Spectrum Detector has agreed to develop a custom Linear Pyroelectric Detector Array for a phase II DOE SBIR Contract being pursued by Dr. Gerard Andonian and associates of RadiaBeam Technologies, Inc.

Lake Oswego, Oregon, April 22, 2008 - Spectrum Detector, Inc., a leading manufacturer of pyroelectric detectors, electronics and instruments for Optical and THz Measurements has been selected by RadiaBeam to help develop a multi-element Linear Pyroelectric Array as part of a phase II SBIR entitled "Development of a Real Time Interferometer for Single-shot, Non-destructive, Longitudinal Diagnostics". The array will have sub-nanojoule pulse energy resolution in the 0.2 to 3 THz portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The array will be an integral part of a "Auto-correlating interferometer for ultra-fast electron beam diagnostics".

"RadiaBeam Technologies is an advanced R&D company which serves the technical and diagnostic needs of Accelerator Facilities worldwide" - according to Dr. Andonian.

This new device will address the issue of obtaining real-time, longitudinal bunch length information of relativistic beams at accelerator R&D facilities, 4th generation light sources and next generation colliders.
