SST-D-TRAP-C, SST-D-TRAP-D: Digital Optical TRAP Power Meters

High Precision, USB Digital, Calibration Transfer Standards

High Precision, USB Digital, Calibration Transfer Standards

We have taken our unique Optical TRAP Detector technology and mated it to our powerful USB based digital electronics to create our SST-D set of Digital Optical TRAPs. These new instruments have the same optical performance as our Silicone SST TRAP Detectors but can be used without need of a Preamp or Picoameter. Simply download our full featured, executable LabView Applications Software and connect our SST-D-TRAP to your PC with a USB cable and you’re ready to o measure and calibrate with incredible accuracy.

The Current Responsivity of each TRAP is determined from physical constants in the equation RI (A/W) = νλ / 1239.5 at the wavelength interest. The Quantum Efficiency of the TRAP "q" is expected to be >99% in the 0.41 to 0.98 µm range. The Responsivity of each TRAP is confirmed by comparison to our Golden Standard Optical TRAP which was calibrated by NIST Boulder.

Model SST-D-TRAP-C is configured for collimated or low divergence sources (i.e. <+/- 10º).

Model SST-D-TRAP-D is designed for divergent sources (i.e. <+/- 15º, but can also be used with collimated sources).

The graph above compares the Current Responsivity (Ri) vs. Wavelength for our high Quantum Efficiency SST-TRAP, a 100% QE device and a single element photodiode.

Note the extremely close correlation between our TRAP and the theoretical curve. The spectral response of a single detector can vary greatly and can only be calibrated to about +/- 3% accuracy. The calibration uncertainty of our TRAP can be as low as 0.5% (see Calibration Uncertainty in the specification table on the reverse side).
