A true passion for Pyroelectric Detector technology and many years designing and producing them has helped us create the beginnings of an extensive line of standard discrete and hybrid detectors that provide excellent broadband performance from 0.1 µm to 20 µm. We're also very capable of designing CUSTOM sensors and electronics to help solve any measurement problem you might have.

SPC-X / SPC-XH Discrete Pyroelectric Detectors

We've designed a series of crystalline LiTaO3 detectors for a wide range of radiometric applications. These devices range in size from small to large, 1 mm to 9 mm diameter and are mounted in TO5 or TO8 packages. The SPC-X series detectors are designed for optimum current output utilizing a crystal mounting method that maximizes their thermal time constant. The SPC-XH devices are mounted on a heat sink to maximize their ability to handle high average power.

SPH Hybrid Pyroelectric Detectors

We've created an extensive line of Hybrid Detectors that combine a LiTaO3 element with a high performance Surface Mount FET or Op Amp and Gigaohm resistors. The resulting product line takes full advantage of the pyroelectric effect... high voltage output, high bandwidth and low noise. The four series of hybrids are designed to optimize particular performance characteristics.
